We're often asked... "Which is better, group training or private training?" The answer is both! A lot depends on your needs and situation.
Let's start with group training. This is usually the less expensive option. On top of that, it's a great way to socialize your dog with other dogs and people that he/she may not interact with on a daily basis. Classes are a set schedule, once per week for a few weeks.
On the other hand, there's private training. Although you don't get the socialization and it tends to be more expensive, this training is held in the comfort of your own home and can be tailored to fit your schedule. You work with your trainer to design a schedule that works for everyone. The training is customized to work with your dog individually. Some dogs catch on quickly, whereas other dogs may be more distractible. With private lessons, the training moves at your dog's pace.
In conclusion, they both have some great benefits to offer. It just depends on what works best for you and your dog. Either way, your dog will learn the
skills to help you build a great relationship for the future!
